What Does IREF Do?

The IREM volunteer leadership team is accountable for leading the efforts of the international organization. They are led by a headquarters team of organization development, leadership, and management professionals. Executive Committee members and regional vice presidents are included in a larger IREM leadership group known as the Governing Board, which consists of elected CPMs, ACOMs, CPM candidates, and other members of the IREM community. In addition to the Board and executive committee, there are a General Secretary, a CEO and a COO, a treasurer and an auditor, a secretary of legal affairs, a secretary of communications, a secretary of fundraising, an administrator of IREM International, an attorney, a communications consultant, a human resources consultant, and a program manager. A program manager is responsible for ensuring that IREM’s vision and mission are accomplished through the strategic direction of IREM staff and volunteers.

The IREM volunteer leaders and staff members are responsible for building and maintaining a strong leadership structure, which provides guidance, support, oversight, and leadership to the rest of the IREM leadership team. The volunteer leaders and staff members have been trained and prepared to assume various leadership roles and to serve as mentors to volunteers and the organization itself. Most of IREM volunteer leaders are trained in leadership at the national or international level.

The IREM volunteer members also help in the management of the various projects the IREM has. They help to oversee and monitor the projects and develop and implement strategies. They also coordinate with other organizations, provide training on different aspects of IREM projects, evaluate the performance of volunteers, track the volunteer development progress, and plan future IREM projects.

All members of the IREM leadership team must be certified by the United States Department of Defense. IREM requires its volunteer leaders to undergo a background check and a psychological evaluation to make sure they are physically fit for the role. The volunteer leaders must also have a strong command over the English language, and the ability to lead in the face of pressure situations. In addition, they must have strong communication skills and good interpersonal skills and be able to work well in team settings.

IREM requires a certain amount of education and experience, including classroom studies, to be eligible for the leadership positions. The degree required for membership into the IREM volunteer leadership committee is an Associates of Arts in Social Sciences or Education Degree, Bachelors of Arts in Social Sciences Degree, or Masters of Arts in Social Sciences Degree, in Administration. Other degrees may be required depending on the level of involvement and responsibilities. The members must be at least 18 years old.

Because of the nature of the work being performed, IREM requires its volunteers to carry a certain amount of liability insurance. This will cover any accidents that may occur while on the IREM volunteer project site, as well as any legal issues that may arise as a result of an accident on the IREM volunteer project site.

Some of the responsibilities of IREM volunteer leaders include developing and leading projects, organizing and leading volunteer activities, assisting volunteers, organizing volunteer events, handling the finances of IREM, planning the financial needs of the volunteer team, overseeing IREM’s finances, as well as participating in training sessions and conferences. The IREM volunteer coordinators also coordinate IREM projects at international conventions such as the World Youth Day. and IREM conventions.

Volunteer leaders also play an important role in the planning, execution and completion of all IREM projects. IREM members can be promoted to volunteer leaders by the president of IREM for a variety of reasons including their academic achievements, dedication to the cause, as well as their ability to carry out assigned projects.
