There are many reasons why the user account control might be enabled. In most cases this will be done by a user in order to allow access to new software, updates, application installation and updates, and certain tasks like browsing the internet and downloading files. However, there are other times when it might be disabled as well. Here we look at the different settings that it can be configured for.
When you start up the computer, the first thing that will happen is that the UAC is enabled. This means that the user will be able to gain access to new applications. If they want to install software, they will have to use the “add / remove programs” option. They can also gain access to a new hard drive, which will disable the UAC.
If the user wishes to change the default settings, they will have to use the “user policy manager”. This tool is actually an advanced configuration utility that can be installed on the PC. It is usually stored on the user’s profile, so if it is disabled, it will not show on the list of stored options. However, it can be re-enabled in order to prevent malicious software from accessing the computer.
If the UAC does become disabled, the user will have to log onto the PC and then click the “run” option, located in the Start Menu. It is possible to run the IrEm login software directly from the taskbar, but this is not advised. Instead, the user needs to start a scheduled program called “task manager” in order to open the options.
When the settings of the IrEm login are disabled, it will then prompt the user for confirmation. They will then be asked whether they want to use the Secure Enclave login or the native user profile. If they choose the native profile, they will then need to close the task manager window. On the other hand, if they choose the Secure Enclave login, they will have to log on to the computer and select “regedit” and then use the “change password” option.
It will take about 15 seconds for the IrEm login to be disabled. It can then be re-enabled again. This is something that will happen every time that the computer is rebooted. If the user has any security-related issues on their PC, they will have to make sure that they have a valid login key.
It is very important that when a user logs onto IrEm, they do not select anything except “Ease of Access” when prompted. The reason for doing this is because this will cause the user to run into a series of dialog boxes. The first one that they get to be a message that says “Secure Enclave login disabled”.
It is also very important that if a user wishes to log onto IrEm, they select the “Network Places” icon that is on the desktop before running the application. They will then need to click “network adapter”. This will automatically add them to the network and then they can then select the “Network Adapters” icon in order to enable the Ethernet ports on the computer.
Once these settings have been changed, the user will then need to click the “Terminate” option. This action will then cause the computer to reboot and will set everything up back to normal.
It is important that users should make sure that they are careful not to log onto the computer if there is any problem with the network. This includes logging on if they do not have a valid username and password. Once the IrEm login process has finished, the user will need to close the computer and then restart it to make sure that the settings are restored to normal. However, they can then log on with the user profile that they already have.
